We’re here to be your “cup of sugar” neighbor, your second home, your morning kawffee, your Tuesday lunch (the day you always treat yourself), your spontaneous juice cleanse, your emergency dinner (the in-laws love to surprise you, we know… us too :-)), your venting session with some vino (if anyone asks it was ONE glass of wine), and most importantly, to be a part of your community.
Our products, like ourselves are local, and we enjoy hangin’ out with other locals (we’re the “friendly” New Yorkers that no one talks about).
Our aim is to support the local community, highlight the uniqueness of the neighborhood and simplify the lives of our customers, because we get it.
Born and raised on the eastern end of Long Island, I gained an early interest in the regions agricultural heritage. Having worked on several organic farms throughout the northeast, I’ve also traveled internationally to conduct research organic farming methods throughout Europe. As Director of Operations for the New Amsterdam Public Market, I worked directly with pioneers of the regional food movement, ranging from fishmongers and bakers to butchers, greengrocers, cheese makers and farmers. More recently, I oversaw and curated the Produce department at Dean & DeLuca’s flagship SoHo location, with a focus on local and sustainable growers and distributors. When not at the Haus, you can find me year-round at the Greenmarket or the closest beach.

Love to cook, hike, & wander the globe.
Somehow, someway I ended up falling in love with food service & hospitality, so here I am, circa ’09, never hungry & always smiling J
